Statement of Faith

SportQuest is not affiliated with one specific denomination. Through our full-time staff, partners, volunteers, and participants, SportQuest -- under the covering of All4One Ministries -- serves alongside churches throughout the world representing various denominations, and we share in common the following foundational beliefs:

  1. There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He was and is true God and true man. We believe He was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God.

  3. A personal salvation by faith through God’s grace and the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
  4. Salvation has been provided for all men through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
  5. Jesus lived without sin but all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God and have need of salvation.
  6. We believe the only means of being saved and cleansed from sin comes by a new birth experience through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, not of human works, goodness, or religious ceremony.

  7. Water Baptism is an outward sign of an inward work of grace and salvation already completed by faith in Jesus Christ.

  8. The Holy Spirit convicts and draws sinners to Christ, imparts new life to them, fills them, continually indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth and seals them until the day of redemption. His fullness and power are manifested in the believer’s life through the evidence of gifts and the fruit of the Spirit.

  9. We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, partaking of it in a worthy manner as outlined in First Corinthians chapter eleven.

  10. We believe in the hope of the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to receive for Himself His Church.

  11. We believe in accordance with the Great Commission that Jesus Christ commanded all believers to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world and to disciple people of every nation.
